Work experience
He enters the National Judicial Branch in 1979 as assistant and after several promotions he was appointed Administrative Undersecretary of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Federal Criminal Matters No. 4. In 1990 he was appointed Federal Clerk in Secretariat No. 1 of the Federal First Instance Court in Criminal and Correctional Matters No.1 of the Federal Capital. In 1992 he was appointed associate to the Criminal Secretariat of the National Supreme Court of Justice.
In 1993 he was appointed Clerk of Criminal Oral Court No. 6 of the Federal Capital. In 1997, he was appointed Clerk of the National Supreme Court of Justice in the Secretariat created for the investigation of the attack to Israel Embassy.
After 25 years of judicial career, he resigned to his state position to practice law and entered the law firm “SAINT JEAN & MAGGIO” devoted exclusively to criminal matters as partner.
In 2005, he organized the law firm “FERNANDEZ ALONSO – BECCAR VARELA & RICHARS – ATTORNEYS AT LAW”.
Since March 2012, he is part of “FERNANDEZ ALONSO & RICHARDS – ATTORNEYS AT LAW”.


Academic activity
Assistant professor in different chairs of Procedural Law I of Universidad Católica Argentina. Associate Professor of Criminal Procedural Law at Austral University. Professor of the Criminal Law Specialization Postgraduate Course at Universidad Austral. Academic Counsellor of Consejo de la Magistratura of Buenos Aires Province. Academic Counsellor of Consejo de la Magistratura of Buenos Aires Autonomous City proposed by Universidad Austral. Member of the association of Catholic lawyers. Member of Sociedad de Abogados Penalistas.
He lectured and participated in several courses related to criminal law both in Argentina and abroad specially related to International Terrorism.
